After his collaborative LP with Say Anything, Cherry Soda, was derailed by allegations against Max Bemis, Wavves' Nathan Williams is finding a way to make the most of a bad situation.
One day removed from calling out Bemis in an NSFW Instagram post, Williams revealed on social media that he is heading back into the studio to salvage nearly a year of recordings, turning Cherry Soda into the next proper Wavves album.
"Going back into the studio on Monday and I will finish this as a proper wavves album," Williams wrote. "I’ll have more announcements soon."
Returning with his first full-length release in four years with 2025's Spun, Williams has been busy over the last year, going on tour to support the release while delivering a deluxe edition of the album in 2026 featuring additional songs and multiple live versions of classic Wavves tracks like "King of the Beach" and "Nine is God."
With one current show announced for the rest of 2026, playing with Beach Bums, WAAX, Modern Color, The Paranoyds, and Sludge Mother at The Belasco in Los Angeles on September 5, fans can officially expect another Wavves album at some point in the future.
