In light of recent allegations against Say Anything frontman Max Bemis, the band has postponed all upcoming performances.

Serious unconfirmed allegations against Bemis surfaced Friday in a Reddit post made by the underage accuser. The band posted the following message on Instagram in response:

Due to the need to prioritize his mental health and personal well-being, Max Bemis’ upcoming performances have been postponed.

Max will be taking the necessary time away to focus on his health.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding, patience and respect for his privacy at this time.

Refunds will be available at points of purchase.

The allegations against Max Bemis are not the first of their kind involving vocalists of early 2000s alternative acts. Brand New's Jesse Lacey was ousted in 2017 for sexual exploitation of minors, causing the band to cancel their then-upcoming tour dates. Brand New has since made a puzzling comeback in recent years, despite the alarming accusations.
