Today, the Brooklyn post-punk six-piece TVOD (Television Overdose) share their newest single, "Meetings." The song is off their forthcoming sophomore LP, The Farm, out October 16 via Mothland/Get Better Records. They also uploaded an accompanying music video — a dispatch from the titular farm, interviewing the grazing animals on a dairy farm in France.

"On this episode of TVOD's The Farm, your hosts invite you to explore a peaceful French “laiterie”, full of wonderful and charming creatures," says "Meetings" music video director Mem Pahl. "These friendly animals are tame, obedient, and definitely not plotting the destruction of mankind!"

The song pulls from motorik rhythms and cloudy, melodic guitar lines to craft a busy, frenetic song about self-destruction, coping, and numbness. Continuing the themes of a chaotic, post-relationship spiral first expressed on previous single "Wet Brain," as well as the interest in sonic interpretations of rot and malaise on "Rerun," "Meetings" tugs on the mind's death drive with driving bass lines and dangerous lyricism. On the track, front man and lyricist Tyler Wright notes:

"The song is an ode to trying to numb your heart with the whiskey bottle and drunk drive your older brother’s F-150 into a moving body of water to prove a point. Take that Stacey. You ruined me."

Tickets for the UK/European leg of The Farm promotional tour are available now. After playing in British record shops and French venues throughout July, TVOD will pick back up in Amsterdam on August 24.
