Since their 2018 album Eat the Elephant, A Perfect Circle haven't had much in the way of new material, outside of one-off track "Kindred," written around the Sessanta tour with singer Maynard James Keenan's Puscifer ensemble (and Primus, who can forget?). But that changes with "Starless," which is not a King Crimson cover, out today.

The new song was produced by Billy Howerdel, A Perfect Circle's guitarist and founder, and drums come courtesy of Josh Freese, who hits things for too many bands to list. Freese has regularly served as A Perfect Circle's drummer since their 2000 debut LP, Mer de Noms.

Of "Starless," Howerdel remarked that "some songs get kicked around and massaged for years. But once in a while, one takes shape quickly, as if it had been there all along."

A Perfect Circle are heading out on their first tour of Europe and the U.K. in eight years this summer. Dates are as follows:
