U2 is going on a world tour next year. The 22-time Grammy Award-winning rock band announced Carnaval De Luz Presents: The Greatest Show On Earth, a tour that’ll see Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr. return to selected stadiums in 2027.
The tour announcement comes with the release of a new track. Co-written by U2 and Brian Eno, “The Greatest Show On Earth” is the third single from their upcoming album Carnaval De Luz. Watch the video below.
In a joint statement, U2 explained the meaning behind their tour name. “The Greatest Show on Earth? Now that's a throwdown. It's a dare to ourselves as much as anyone, to try and have the best night of anybody's life. A bit of showman, a bit of shaman, a riot of colour, unreasonable guitar, bass and drums, and tunes you can hold onto. Because if people are gonna show up, we certainly are.”
These are the band’s first stadium dates since 2019, when they wrapped the Joshua Tree Tour at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium. The set list will draw from their entire catalogue, creating a spectacle similar to their shows at the Sphere in Las Vegas.
Carnaval De Luz Presents: The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour will also feature Beck as support. See the 2027 dates below.
