Amyl and the Sniffers have added new encore theatrical screenings for their upcoming concert film, Truth or Consequence, due to overwhelming demand.
The Melbourne punk outfit’s original run of dates has been expanded to include additional sessions in Austin, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Liverpool, London, Los Angeles, and New York, joining their previously announced stops in cities like Adelaide, Belfast, Berlin, Brisbane, Chicago, Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, Melbourne, Paris, San Francisco, and Sydney, among dozens more across Australia, Europe, North America, and South America.
Truth or Consequence, directed by longtime collaborator John Angus Stewart, was filmed live at the El Coyote Mexican Restaurant on Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles. The film centers around the band performing country-influenced versions of their own songs, along with two unreleased tracks and a cover of Slim Dusty’s “Lights on the Hill,” in front of an increasingly rowdy crowd.
The screenings arrive alongside the release of the accompanying live album of the same name, due out on September 4th via Virgin Music Group.
