After a brief disappearance from the public following a massive double world tour, The 1975 are back today with a new live album titled Still...At Their Very Best. It takes the name of the second half of the tour, which promoted their fifth studio record, Being Funny In A Foreign Language. The live album commemorates their February concert in the band's hometown of Manchester, UK, where they performed at the OA Arena for a two-hour set.
The band made no formal announcement for the live record. Some fans found out about it through one of their most popular news update accounts on X, @the1975_thteam, which is based in Thailand. They posted the announcement yesterday.

The "Still...At Their Very Best" tour was a massive victory lap for the band, as The 1975 performed at some of their biggest arena concerts yet across the globe. The tour itself was divided into two parts: the first half was a retrospective of some of their career highlights, as well as tracks from the new record, featuring some voice-over-led performance arts pieces. The second was dedicated to the upbeat hits and fan favorites.

The Still...At Their Very Best live album features some of the band's deep cuts, songs they haven't played for the public in years, like "Me" and "You" — which only appear in the deluxe version of their 2013 self-titled debut, or in the 2012 Sex EP ("You") — and fan-favorite "Menswear", appearing in the middle of the tracklist, which was met with some of the loudest cheers from the crowd.
"Consumption", which appears as the sixteenth track on the setlist, is a nearly five-minute monologue by frontman and lead singer Matty Healy. There, he reflects on the honor in playing at a large arena in his hometown, his "nepo baby" status ("My mum was on Coronation Street!" he quips), and the press surrounding his past controversial comments.
This is the third live record the band has released, and the second documenting this specific tour. The 1975 first released DH00278 (Live from The O2, London. 16.12.16) to document the tour for their sophomore record, I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it. They also recorded and released a live album of their November 2022 At Their Very Best performance at Madison Square Garden.
The 1975 also partnered with Amazon Studios to livestream their 2023 At Their Very Best set at Madison Square Garden on November 7, which is now available to watch for free on their official YouTube page.
The live album commemorating some of the biggest milestones in The 1975's career also comes a day after another important announcement from the band. Yesterday it was announced that The 1975 would be one of the headlining acts for the famed Glastonbury Music Festival this year. They will be performing on June 27, the first night of the three-day event. This will be the first time they've ever headlined the festival.
