One of the best-selling musicians of all time, Stevie Wonder, has announced an 18-leg international anniversary tour in honor of the 50th anniversary of his classic album, Songs in the Key of Life.

Released five decades ago, on September 28, 1976, Stevie Wonder’s Songs in the Key of Life is a generational album, that served as Wonder’s 18th studio record, released on Tamla Records, a subdivision of Motown. Winning Album of the Year at the 19th Grammy Awards, Songs in the Key of Life quickly became Wonder’s most well-regarded project, as a double LP featuring 17 new songs and a bonus EP titled, A Something’s Extra, with four bonus tracks on an included 7-inch.

Songs in the Key of Life set the bar for musicianship since its release, regarded and appreciated now as one of the most influential R&B albums ever made. Elton John said that he takes the album with him wherever he goes in the world, Ye claimed it to be the benchmark for what he aspires to create as an artist, and George Michael went as far as to call the record his favorite album of all time.
