Sparks announce new record and tour, release new single "Do Things My Own Way"

Earlier today, brothers Ron and Russell Mael of Sparks announced their forthcoming album MAD! would be released later this year. To promote the new record, the rock band released the single "Do Things My Own Way" and announced dates for their summer MAD! tour. Check out the new track below:

Not much is known about Sparks' new record, apart from the fact that it's going to be released via Transgressive, which they recently signed to in October 2024, according to Billboard. The date of MAD!'s release has yet to be announced, and the cover art and track list are still unknown, Under The Radar reported.

The band also announced that they would be going on a tour across Japan, the UK, and Europe this upcoming June. Dates for a North American leg of the tour will be announced soon, according to the band's official X (formerly Twitter) account.

Tickets for the UK/European leg of the MAD! tour go on sale Friday, Februrary 7, with a Sparks Fan Club-exclusive presale occuring on Wednesday, February 5. Attendees for the UK dates can also access a special presale code by pre-ordering a CD copy of MAD! through their website. Tickets for the Japan dates will be available for sale on February 22.
