serpentwithfeet announces album ‘GRIP SEQUEL’, shares first single

serpentwithfeet has just announced a follow-up edition to 2024’s GRIP.

GRIP SEQUEL is out February 28 via Secretly Canadian. “I had more so say,” said serpentwithfeet. “I had more questions about intimacy and this was a fun way to explore.”

Listen to the new single “Writhing in the Wind” now:

“[The single is] the sound of a lover begging,” serpentwithfeet said in a press statement. “He knows he messed up but desperately wants a second chance.”

GRIP SEQUEL will include six new songs, alongside three reimagined tracks from GRIP. Those alternate renditions consist of a baile/Brazilian funk remix of “Damn Gloves”, a strings-led version of “Lucky Me”, and a remix of “Spades.” The artist recently opened for André 3000’s New Blue Sun Tour.
