Regina Ferguson has released a new single, “Ride ‘til Dawn,” produced by Jonathan Wilson. The song arrived Friday, November 6, and is a preview of her sophomore album, due in 2027.

“Ride ‘til Dawn” is an upbeat track built on pedal steel and a loose, groove-heavy twang, drawing on outlaw-edged classic country and roots-rock. Ferguson said writing songs that aren’t so serious can be challenging, but she had fun with the lighthearted nature of this one. It turned into “something you can just sit back and crank up,” she said.

Ferguson recorded the single with Wilson at his studio in Topanga Canyon, California. Wilson has worked with Father John Misty, Miley Cyrus, Billy Strings, and Margo Prince. He also plays drums on the upcoming album, which was tracked live to tape with an all-star band.

The song follows Ferguson’s 2023 debut album, Fortune.

Ferguson plays Desert 5 Spot in Los Angeles on Tuesday, November 10.
