This October, Oasis will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their hit record, (What's The Story (Morning Glory)?, with a brand new anniversary reissue. The deluxe edition — which will feature newly recorded, unplugged versions of "Cast No Shadow", “Morning Glory”, “Wonderwall”, and “Champagne Supernova” — comes out October 3 via Big Brother Recordings, a day after the original release in 1995.
The band also shared a new version of "Acquiesce", an original B-side to the single "Some Might Say". Listen to it below:
The cover art for the iconic album has changed slightly. Shot by the original designer Brian Cannon, the new image documents the same London Street thirty years later, per BrooklynVegan. It's not a one-to-one re-staging; the two pedestrians at the center of the 1995 record are notably absent.
Oasis first remastered (What's The Story) Morning Glory? in 2014, also via Big Brother Recordings, adding both some songs from the 1998 The Masterplan companion album and a bonus LP full of live versions, demo recordings, and unplugged renditions of tracks and B-sides. The new remaster does not include any songs from The Masterplan, other than the unplugged version of the album cycle's most popular B-Side, "Acquiesce".
