Musical comedy chameleon Kyle Gordon has dropped one last single ahead of his new album Kyle Gordon Is Everywhere, out October 2.

Kyle slips into one of his many alter egos, 10 Year Plan, on the new single, "If You Break Up With Me." It's a tongue-in-cheek take on overly-dramatic alternative rock bands of the 90s complete with lyrics about infidelity and doo-doo-doos. Kyle Gordon Is Everywhere is out October 2.

Kyle wanted to pay homage to the pop-oriented alt rock that populated the radio when he was a kid. He had this to say about the track:

“The crux of the parody rests on the contrast between the bright, shiny, catchy production of much of this music, but paired with 90’s rock dude dark lyrics. The most notable example being Semi-Charmed Life, which, if you didn’t know, is explicitly about the horrors of meth addiction.”

This is the third single off the upcoming record following in the footsteps of "Mr. Jambo," a Paul Simon pastiche; and "I'm a Whore," an overly vulgar take on 2010s indie sleaze.
