Two years after her solo debut album Nobody Loves You More, Kim Deal is commemorating her 2025 London show with her first live record. Titled Live at the Barbican, the 18-track album will be accompanied by a live performance film directed by Cuan Roche, released alongside the record on November 13.

Live at the Barbican was recorded on March 1, 2025, a one-off concert in London celebrating the release of Nobody Loves You More. The setlist included new songs, as well as tracks from The Breeders’ back catalog and her earlier solo work. The performance marked the first time a 25-piece orchestra backed her. Alongside the ensemble and Shards choir, she was also joined by a band that included Mando Lopez (The Breeders), Susan Voelz (Poi Dog Pondering), Lindsay Glover, Nick White (Phoebe Bridgers), and Rob Bochnik (The Frames), as well as special guest Raymond McGinley (Teenage Fanclub).

On the idea for the performance, Deal says in a press release that it came to her while mixing her solo album in Hackney:

“I invited myself! That’s how I came to play Nobody Loves You More at the Barbican. Years ago, I had worked with Chris Sharp at the 4AD label and I knew he was currently at The Barbican. So, I reached out to Chris and said I have orchestration on this record. I would love to be able to perform these songs with an actual orchestra. And Chris said, ‘Yes, we’d love to have you.’”
