Today, Japanese Breakfast, the indie rock project of Michelle Zauner, released her latest single off her upcoming record For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women), "Mega Circuit".

The new song comes with a visual created by Zauner and photographer and frequent collaborator Adam Kolodny.

Due to popular demand, Zauner also announced new tour dates for Japanese Breakfast's upcoming tour across the US, Canada, Europe, and the UK beginning this April. She will now be performing in Seattle, WA, Madison, WI, and Bristol, UK, and she extended her tour in Brooklyn, NY two more days after quickly selling out the first two concerts.

"'Mega Circuit’ was one of the first songs I wrote," says Zauner in a press release, driven by the desire to make a "creepier," more guitar-forward record. "The song is sort of an examination of contemporary masculinity, and explores a conflicted desire to embrace a generation that in the absence of positive role models has found refuge in violence and bigotry," she continues.

"Mega Circuit" is the second single off the new record, which is due for release on March 21 via Dead Oceans, and is listed as the fourth track on the LP. It follows "Orlando In Love", which also features a Zauner/Kolodny visual collaboration.
