Psychedelic indie rock band GIFT have announced their third album, Frenzy For The Thrill. The album was co-produced by GIFT bandleader TJ Freda and Teddy Mars (creator of the popular sample pack company Samples From Mars) and is out January 15th, 2027 via Captured Tracks.

The album's lead single "Hand To The Flame" is also out. Check out the accompanying music video:

Previously, GIFT was primarily Freda's project, who formed the band while based in Brooklyn during the pandemic. After touring 2024's Illuminator, GIFT solidified as a band with Jessica Gurewitz (synthesizer, vocals, guitar), Kallan Campbell (bass), Justin Hrabovsky (synthesizer, guitar), and Gabe Camarano (drums). Press materials call Frenzy For The Thrill GIFT's "most band-oriented album yet."

Freda describes the album artwork to Frenzy For The Thrill:

"The fly is a simple creature, programmed to chase one thing — food, light, whatever. On the album cover, the fly has gone too far. Not fully dead, but submerged in what it was trying to consume, stuck in a situation of its own making."
