Early this morning, Fall Out Boy fans posted on Reddit that they had received T-shirts in the mail from Live Nation. The shirts said "Twilight of the Punks," and were sent to UK recipients. Fans are currently speculating that the band is about to make a major announcement.

The accompanying letters say:

"Dear Valued Shopper,

Congratulations! As one of our earliest rewards members, you've been selected to receive a special gift.

Consider it a little thank you for joining us before we even opened our doors.

And this is only the beginning. We've got a lot more in store for you.

Everything we have is yours.

Happy shopping!

Your Friends at the Twilight Town Mall"

Last week, the band hosted short livestreams in which each member seemed to be doing one of their hobbies. Singer Patrick Stump was seen organizing vinyl records, drummer Andy Hurley was trying his best at a claw machine, guitarist Joe Trohman was cleaning his film camera gear, and bassist Pete Wentz was *checks notes* lining a coffin sitting against a fish aquarium.

Each activity points to an Easter Egg. For example, Wentz's alludes to the "thnks fr th mmrs" music video.

It was later discovered that these videos were recorded at Koreatown Plaza in Los Angeles. Fall Out Boy also overhauled their official website to "Twilight Town Mall" branding. The semi-fictional mall features a homepage with several stores named as callbacks to familiar things, such as "Flash Flash Flash Photography Studio." A "Security" tab highlights looped videos of the band at various mall locations.

This isn't the first time Fall Out Boy has unveiled a new "era" this way. In 2022, some fans (including this writer) received a postcard from "Pink Seashell Beach," shortly before So Much (For) Stardust was announced. Others also received a pink seashell and a short note. The T-shirts sent to the UK came with a short letter, alluding to the Twilight Town Mall's "grand re-opening."

Those who signed up for the band's Laylo line have reported receiving replies from the hotline. If you call, it features a message from Patrick Stump:

"Thank you for calling the Twilight Town Mall, where everything we have is yours. We are currently under new management and preparing for our grand re-opening. For the latest on our stores and special events, please visit our website. We appreciate your interest in Twilight Town Mall, and we look forward to welcoming you soon. Thank you, and goodbye!"

It's currently unknown whether the pending announcement will reveal tour dates, new music, or both. However, based on past patterns, something major will likely be unveiled in the coming days. Ideally, the band will do their "what the f*** is up, Denny's" at the Koreatown Mall H-Mart... but that's just wishful thinking.
