DIIV release new power pop single "Trillions"

Alt rockers DIIV have shared a new single called "Trillions," taken from their upcoming album ZIRP! due out October 30 via Fantasy Recordings.

Watch the official video below:

Directed by frequent collaborator Jaxon Whittington, the bombastic pop video features a big house, wads of cash, fast cars, and excellent drip. Frontman Zachary Cole Smith's son Roy and his friend Julian returned to film the song's fantastical delusion.

Co-written by A.G. Cook, the song follows the previously released singles "Kid" and "The Fountain," which also accompanied videos directed by Whittington and shot by Roy and Julian.

As previously reported, ZIRP! finds the former shoegazers removing themselves from typical theatrics to venture into a Cook-produced sound.

Cook, founder of influential record label PC Music, is recognized as popularizing and developing the hyperpop genre and has served as executive producer for Charli XCX and Caroline Polachek.

Earlier this week, DIIV performed to a packed-out room at The Meadows in their native New York City, performing 17 songs across their discography, including songs from ZIRP! for the first time and a Charli XCX cover of "Playboy Bunny."
