Denzel Curry and producer Kenneth Blume (fka Kenny Beats) first collaborated in 2020 on the acclaimed UNLOCKED EP, which was remixed and released as UNLOCKED 1.5 the year after. Now, they’re joining forces once again for a new album titled ii, which drops on August 21 via Loma Vista.

They’ve also shared the lead single “DIFFERENCE,” featuring Yebba on vocals, alongside a video directed by NOTACHANCE. Watch it below:

According to the pre-order page, the new track and album’s raw sound stems from both exchanging “polished studio setups for an SP-404 beat machine, a cheap mic, and pure artistic instinct.” The 9-track LP also features JPEGMAFIA and Westside Gunn.

Kenneth says the following about the upcoming project:

“The work Denzel and I do has never been easy, which is why it’s so rewarding. We’ve started every project on opposite sides of a coin and fought our way to the center. When I hear this album, I hear the growth and the fight in equal parts.”
