Cherry Bomb, the Los Angeles-based solo project of MisterWives' Mandy Lee, has announced her debut solo album The Pursuit of Pleasure, due out November 13. In conjunction, the indie pop princess has released a new single titled "Crash!"

For more than a decade, Lee has been a force in the alt-pop scene, fronting the New York City-based indie pop act MisterWives, which has released albums via Photo Finish and Fueled by Ramen. She's now breaking out on her own, venturing into bubblegum pop.

Of the new single, Lee says:

"'Crash!' sparked the sonic world and sentiment. I hope she’s a reminder to anyone who listens that you don't have to keep craning your neck looking back at a past you once had to shrink to fit into."

Drawing from genre-defining artists like Madonna and Blondie, the artist blends space-disco shimmer, punk attitude, and deeply personal songwriting.

Cherry Bomb will mark the album’s arrival with a release show on November 18 at the Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles. Tickets go on sale October 2, with additional details available here.
