Bradford Cox is officially returning to the stage as Atlas Sound for the first time in seven years, performing a live set from his solo project at Making Time ∞ Festival in Philadelphia.

The esteemed songwriter and frontman of Deerhunter has largely flown under the radar in recent years, aside from a small 2023 show at a vintage market in Georgia. Cox's side project will step back into the spotlight at Making Time ∞ on Sunday, September 20, at 4:30 p.m. The festival runs September 18–20 at Fort Mifflin in Philadelphia.

There have been few updates regarding Deerhunter and Atlas Sound since the release of the former's last album, Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared? in 2019. Further plans for either project have yet to be announced.
