22, A Million, Bon Iver's third album that marked a stylistic shift away from acoustic and chamber folk, is about to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a limited edition that expands the album's visual world. The new edition is due November 20 via Jagjaguwar.
To expand the record's visual world, the reissue includes a CD edition sporting new artwork as part of a 12-panel "inverted cross," as well as an LP on frosted silver vinyl. The vinyl package includes alternative cover artwork, the original 28-page lyric booklet, a new 12-page booklet documenting 22, A Million's creative process, and an essay written by its visual artist, Eric Timothy Carlson.

Carlson's essay explores the album's visual language and the significance of iconography in its song titles. In a press release, Carlson explains how the songs were initially created as numbers before gradually developing meanings of their own. He says:
"The idea was to find an icon to hold each track. The Western Arabic numerals were to remain intact yet asked to be realized as unique forms, ligatures, glyphs and monograms."
