There hasn't been any full-length activity from Beastie Boys alumni since their final album, 2011's Hot Sauce Committee Part Two. That changes on August 28, when Thank You, the first solo album from Mike D, is scheduled for release through Capitol Records.

You can check out lead single "True Colors" below. The track follows the release of "Switch Up" and "What We Got," the first two cuts on the album.

The album is credited to Mike D 5D, and began through sessions at D's home studio, along with his sons Davis and Skyler. "I just hope it's fun for others and not overly serious," D said in a statement, "because let's be real, I'm releasing this music into a very strange and dark and power-fixated world that really devalues art and feelings and compassion and empathy and equality."

D will also be out on tour this month. You can find those dates down below.
