Connecticut’s the Guru drops the first single leading up to the band’s next full-length album, Go Easy. The track is a pretty noticeable change of pace for the band, too. Many tracks from the band’s last album were jumpy, hyper, and featured vocals that showcased a pretty clear Modest Mouse influence.
“Go Easy,” overall, is a much smoother experience, and I’m not just saying that because of the smooth jazz sax fluttering throughout the track. The vocals come off a bit friendlier, and the grooves the band lays out on this album feel much more mature.
Look for Go Easy on the 21st of November.
