This Album is F**king Garbage

This record over here has been getting recommended to me over and over and over and over. And from what I understand, what I've been told, Pat McAfee here- he's a sports guy. Can I get any clarification on this?

The Diary of a Polarizing Figure. Goddamn! Fuck! That's what I was gonna name MY album! He stole it! He stole my shit! Apparently this is AI-generated or partially AI. You think a shaky, inexperienced, foolish, inherently flawed human hand strung together this beautiful vision that we're staring at right now?

This guy is a total ass sports commentator. He has some hard and hot takes on sports that have made him a polarizing figure, and he has decided to come out with an album, The Diary of a Polarizing Figure.

I guess he had a single back in 2025 named "Dookie?" Honestly, I don't know if I want to expose myself to any Dookie today. But yeah, this is the album that he has dropped out of the blue. I've been seeing a lot of people talk about it, hype it up. It's released on Pat McAfee Records. 14 tracks, 42 minutes.

All right, I'm going to hear "Polarizing Figures" since that's kind of the title-ish track, and I hope he's kind of getting to the heart of whatever this album is about here. By virtue of the polarizing figure motif. So let's see if he kind of talks about what makes him so damn polarizing. It's categorized as country, so let's see how country it is.

"I'm so confused and conflicted about this life that i'm living. Everything that I do, some pumped and some shitting. You see there's some who will ride and some who will wish i would die - so every new sitch, is it all right or on sight?"

This sounds like he heard Jelly Roll and was like, I could do that. He literally ripped off his whole flow, note for note - like, what the fuck!? Oh, he feuded with Jelly Roll in WWE, so that makes sense. You emulate the people who you hate most, you know, so that's what he's doing. He's trying to muscle in on Jelly Roll's lane.

God, this is bland as fuck, holy shit. "Outlaws" is a little rockin'; you could hear from those anemic, baseless guitars that are a little distorted and panned all the way in the left fucking. I'm sorry, look at the top of the lyric sheet over here.

"Social strategy justifying our thoughts; we're logging on some souls and logging off some bots. They say the victors write the scriptures; though we hated them, we tear down statues to virtue, but we love old pens. The truth's some history's a mystery; we'll do again. Just hoping we move new grooves every now and then. 'Cause if they lie about the little shit, they'll lie about plenty shit, draining all of our energy we're fixing to replenish it."

Is this the part of the album that's made by AI? What does this mean? This is just drivel. He's parading as if this is something deep, and what the fuck does this have to do with being an outlaw!? Again, this just sounds like AI Jelly Roll.

I gotta know what "Blue Collar Symphony" sounds like. This song's about the working man because that's who Pat McAfee represents. You see him, and you're like, that's a real blue-collar, hands-dirty working man right there making bullshit AI Jelly Roll music.

The past two tracks have both sounded like really bad wrestling intros from the 2000s. This is just like what the Undertaker would come out to during his American badass era. I mean, in Undertaker's defense, "Rollin'" and the Kid Rock song he was using, if I remember correctly, were way better than this.

"They say the good die young, and I'm scared I'm great." Yeah man, I don't know if you need to be afraid of that. Not only do you not seem young here; I feel like you're already past the poll, but if you know the music here is any metric, you're gonna be living a long time, brother. You've got a long life ahead of you.

I didn't ever think in my life I would ever hear music that made Jelly Roll sound like he had soul. This makes Jelly Roll sound like the most passionate, soulful country singer alive. It makes Morgan Wallen's pen jump off the page, like this makes the slop that they put and shit out onto the charts sound honestly ingenious by comparison.

"It's a cold world, block's hot soufflé." Blocks hot!? Pat McAfee can start about the block being hot! What does he know about the block being hot? What the fuck? What do you think he put in the prompt for this? It's got to be epic country rap, Pat McAfee. "I'm good at everything; I'm a talent buffet," yeah, man, I'm sorry to break it to you, but you're not good at everything.

Let's try "Rich as Shit," and then I gotta flush this album down the toilet and head out.

"I wanna be rich as shit before I die" what a dumbass start to a song. This is just stupid. In order to think this is cool, and for the start of this track to resonate with you, you really got to be like far below an average IQ. You gotta be a fucking moron. This is kind of like really bad Everlast.

I can't handle this anymore; this is just garbage. This is trash. This is like one of the worst albums I've heard this year. When I make my worst albums of the year list, this will be very much in consideration. Holy crap, wow, what a stinker of an album. I can hear why you guys recommended that.

What do you think?
