LISTEN!!!!!

Hey everyone, Anthony Fantano here, internet's busiest music nerd, and it's time to talk about some new music I'm into. Here are 3 records I have really been digging on as of late.

Starting off with 1: the new Thundercat album Distracted.

This is bassist extraordinaire Thundercat's first record in years, and personally I think it was worth the wait. These are some of his best, funkiest, and most well-produced songs in a long time, with a pretty impressive guest list to boot. And I also think this is one of his most personal records too, with a lot of lyrics dealing in love, dealing breakup, but also the ways in which neurodivergence sort of impacts these various social interactions in his life and duties that he feels overwhelmed by on a regular basis.

Next, I would like to shout out the new Neurosis album An Undying Love for Burning World.

Like, not only is this the band's first record in 10 years, not only did they knock it out of the park, but they're also bouncing back here after a devastating lineup change and included none other than Aaron Turner of Isis fame, whose input on this album frankly is Incredible.

Lastly, want to shout out the new underscores album U.

There are a lot of people saying this is their pop album of the year this year, and I can understand why. It's so catchy, it's so well produced. You have these consistent themes around heartbreak, a breakup, or rather the disillusion of a relationship that didn't quite get to where it needed to be. And very solidly one of the best pop and electronic records this year.

What do you think?
