After releasing the club single "booboo", artist, producer, and DJ Yaeji has come back with its sequel nearly a year later. The new track, "booboo2", features hyperpop artist underscores and rapper Aliyah's Interlude, each coming together to reimagine the original track in a poppier remix.

Yaeji and underscores worked on the 2024 "booboo" track together, with the latter having credits for additional production and drum programming.

2025 has been a year marked by stand-alone singles for Yaeji, who released her last sudio album, With A Hammer, in April 2023. The artist has been more so focusing on production work and collaborations, working with BAMBII for Infinity Club II, T-Pain for "Believe In Ya", and ATEEZ for the "In Your Fantasy" remix, among others.

"booboo2" follows "Pondeggi", her latest single that was shared in March and features NYC electronic duo E Wata.
