Wild Pink has shared a video for "Still Coming Down," the fourth single and title track from the band's sixth album of the same name, out this Friday, August 21, via Fire Talk Records.
Led by John Ross, the band cut the record in a single week at Drop of Sun Studios in Asheville, North Carolina, with producer Alex Farrar, following 2024's LP Dulling the Horns.
Ross broke down the title track, his favorite on the record, in a press release. "This is my favorite song on the record right now so I'm glad this one is out today," he said. "I love Meg Duffy's sinewy, slow motion fretless guitar playing and Landon George's fiddle in the middle. This song isn't about any one single thing, but it's mostly about my son and feeling overwhelming love."
Wild Pink's 2022 album ILYSM was shaped by Ross's cancer diagnosis, and in the years since he has recovered and become a father, a shift that colors the new record's warmth and gives that "overwhelming love" its weight. "Strangely, I feel like I've found my voice on this record," he said.
Wild Pink is headed out on tour in support of the record, across Europe and North America. See those dates down below.
