VCU pep band plays Kendrick Lamar's "tv off" at basketball game

In an impressively short turnaround time, the Virginia Commonwealth University pep band arranged and learned Kendrick Lamar's "tv off," an early favorite from his new surprise dropped album, GNX.

The band performed the Mustard-produced track on Sunday, November 24th, just two days after the song's release. A clip of the performance went viral on TikTok, with the band playing over the already iconic moment of Lamar screaming Mustard's name as the beat switches.

The game finished with a win for the VCU Rams, as they defeated the UMiami Hurricanes 77-70. Perhaps the band's performance was the final push they needed. Watch the performance below:
