Metal forefather Tony Iommi returns with a brand new single titled "Stormwatcher," the second with vocalist Jørn Lande, taken from the legendary guitarist's forthcoming solo album From The Dark, due out October 23 via BMG.

Watch the animated music video for the track below:

Co-written by Iommi, Lande, and keyboardist Mike Exeter, "Stormwatcher" tells the tale of the titular character navigating a ship stuck in a mighty storm. Joining the trio are bassist Becky Baldwin (Mercyful Fate) and Karl Brazil (James Blunt, Robbie Williams).

Lande says of the song:

"It channels something from within, something real. We are the captain of our own vessel, a ship crashing through unknown and sometimes challenging waters, always navigating forward, steering steady through every storm, driven by dreams of new horizons and longing for something new."

"Stormwatcher" follows the previously released single "World Alone," which came as a surprise back in July. Co-produced by Iommi and Exeter, who has worked with the guitarist on multiple projects since 2004, the song accompanied album details for From The Dark, as shown below.
