Earlier today, The Ophelias announced that they would be embarking on a tour across North America later this summer, supporting Ezra Furman for part of the Ms. Ezra Furman tour. The band will be promoting their newest record Spring Grove, which was released on April 4 via Get Better Records.
Spring Grove is The Ophelias' third full-length studio record. It is produced entirely by Julien Baker, who first collaborated with the band on 2021's "Neil Young On High", a track off Crocus. It's Baker's first LP production credit, according to Stereogum.
The Ophelias' tour follows a handful of headline shows beginning this weekend. The band will be playing at the DIY music festival Stoopfest in Lansing, MI this Saturday, May 10, and they will then travel to cities in Canada and Vermont. Before their support tour, they will also play a gig in New York City on May 27 to raise funds for the Immigrant Defense Project.
Tickets for the The Ophelias' handful of headline shows, as well as their scheduled performances on the Ms. Ezra Furman North America tour, are available now.
