The Dare shares new single "Tambourine", announces club instrumental EP

Today, The Dare shared a brand new single, "Tambourine", a club-inspired, instrumental track that's the first released track off his forthcoming EP, Freakquencies: Vol 1.

The EP is due for release August 22 via Polydor/Republic Records. This new project comes a couple months after his release of the What's Wrong With New York:Afters record, a deluxe version of his 2024 debut.

The new single represents the new direction The Dare will lean into for the Freakquencies: Vol 1 EP. Named after the now-famous parties he hosts around New York City, the EP will contain instrumental, electronic tracks that intend to capture the spirit and intensity of nightlife.

"Freakquencies: Vol. 1 is the first installment in a series of EPs aimed directly at the dancefloor,” said The Dare via press release. "These four tracks were made for and spun at various Freakquencies parties around the globe. They marry some of my latest and greatest loves: French touch, big beat, electro and acid. Whatever gets you there."
