The Dare gets "Cheeky" with deluxe version of debut album

Today, The Dare — the solo project of Harrison Patrick Smith — shared his new single "Cheeky". The song, alongside previous singles "LCA" and the cover "I Can't Escape Myself" (originally by The Sound), are now the first tracks off the deluxe edition of his debut album, What's Wrong With New York: Afters, out now via Republic Records.

Listen to "Cheeky" below:

The Dare released What's Wrong With New York? on September 6, 2024. Now, almost a year later, Smith released three tracks recorded during the original session yet eventually scrapped. Contrary to deluxe album standards, the new singles appear at the beginning of the Afters edition.

This summer, The Dare will appear at multiple large music festivals around the world, including Chicago's Lollapalooza, Way Out West, Leeds Festival, Reading Festival, and Austin City Limits. Yet, before he takes on Europe, Smith will be returning to his home base in New York City to host three Freakquencies parties, performing three nights at different popular bars clubs in Manhattan and Brooklyn. He will also do a one-off performance in Denver, CO.
