Today, Primavera Sound announced its lineup for the annual Barcelona festival. It unveiled the list of artists a bit earlier than usual — giving people nearly eight months to think about going, as the main festival will take place June 4 to 6, 2026. Nevertheless, the roster, which boasts at least 150 artists, is packed with talent.
Billed at the top are The Cure, who are currently completing their promised three-part album return. (In January, front man Robert Smith said that the 2024 album Songs Of A Lost World would have two companion records. In April, the band shared a remix album.) Doja Cat and Gorillaz will headline as well, coming to the stage with brand new albums under their belts (Vie and The Mountain, respectively). The xx plan to mark some sort of return before their festival headline appearance, as they've been posting clips of rehearsing in the studio on social media the whole week.
Other legacy acts like My Bloody Valentine and Massive Attack will play alongside electronic staples like Skrillex, PinkPantheress, and Peggy Gou. Lastly, the breakout pop artist of 2025, Addison Rae, also claims a spot on the top of the list.
Other highlights from this lineup include the return of Kneecap, who drew in a crowd of supporters earlier this June for one of their last festival appearances before Mo Chara's first court date for his ongoing terrorism charge (June 18); Rilo Kiley, who are now definitely reunited; appearances by viral pop stars Lola Young and Role Model; sets by both Cameron Winter and Geese; and more.
Ethel Cain, Father John Misty, 2hollis, Oklou, MARINA, Big Thief, JADE, Dijon, Blood Orange, Alex G, Amaarae, Viagra Boys, Knocked Loose, and Slowdive will also play at the festival.
