The Avalanches have dropped their second single of 2026, following May’s “Together,” which featured Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza, and Prentiss.

For the new release, the veteran Australian group reunites with British DJ Jamie xx on “Every Single Weekend.” The track is accompanied by a Jonathan Zawada–directed music video, which you can watch below.

The Avalanches and Jamie xx have previously collaborated on 2020’s “Wherever You Go” and 2024’s “All You Children.” Elements of “Every Single Weekend” also first surfaced as an interlude on Jamie xx’s recent LP In Waves.

“We’ve loved collaborating with Jamie xx over the years," The Avalanches said in a press release. "His In Colour album reignited our passion for sampling, and this track is about letting go — forgetting the 9-to-5 grind and enjoying every single weekend.”

While nothing has been officially confirmed, a new album appears to be on the way. The group also recently made a return to the stage with a surprise DJ set at London’s OM, alongside a recent uptick in social media activity showcasing a distinctly retro-futuristic aesthetic.
