The Antlers celebrate 10th anniversary of ‘Hospice’ with new live album

Nothing feels more like Valentine’s Day than an afternoon in hospice care, right?

Celebrating the anniversary of their landmark album, Hospice, The Antlers have announced the release of Hospice at Ten: Live in Chicago. The album was announced today (February 14) on Twitter, with downloads available on Bandcamp and a double-LP available for pre-order.

The album’s instrumentation varies from the original Hospice; the band consists of two voices, an acoustic guitar, an electric guitar, and a snare drum. In a statement, the band described this record as an “alternate version of Hospice."

“[It’s] markedly different from the original 2009 studio album, but possessing a kindred spirit.”

The record was released through their own label, Field’s Edge, and the band hinted at future Antler’s projects releasing on that label. The band has also indicated earlier this month that they have wrapped up recording a new Antlers record.
