Just over two years after the record-shattering tour's initial on-sale, Taylor Swift's Eras Tour took its final bow on Sunday night in Vancouver. According to The New York Times, the final ticket sale figure landed at $2,077,618,725, and that's only counting revenue from tickets bought firsthand.
This figure doubles Coldplay's Music of the Spheres tour, which grossed approximately $1B over the course of 156 performances, 7 more than Swift's 149. Over the course of the tour, Swift reportedly doled out $197 million in bonuses to the tour crew, including dancers, musicians, and truck drivers. This tour played a significant part in Swift crossing over into billionaire status, which she achieved in October of 2023.
During the two years of the tour's run, Swift released two records for her "Taylor's Version" re-recording project, 2010's Speak Now, and 2014's 1989. The pop star, who turns 35 on Friday the 13th, also released a double album of new material, The Tortured Poets Department, in April of this year.
What lies in Swift's future remains under wraps, but fans are expecting motion towards completion 0f the "Taylor's Version" project, with only two re-records (2006's Taylor Swift and 2017's reputation) left to release.
