Punk and emo veteran Tim Kinsella has been auctioning off items from throughout his career, and his original painting that graces the cover of the sole Cap'n Jazz album Shmap'n Shmazz (or Burritos, Inspiration Point, Fork Balloon Sports, Cards in the Spokes, Automatic Biographies, Kites, Kung Fu, Trophies, Banana Peels We’ve Slipped on, and Egg Shells We’ve Tippy Toed Over if you're a freak) has been won by EDM legend Steve Aoki.
Aoki won the auction on Valentine's Day last month, and posted the painting today on his Instagram story, saying "I’m so happy to now own the original art from [one] of my favorite albums of all time and drawn by Tim Kinsella himself.” It only cost him $23,433.

Steve was also seen side stage at Cap'n Jazz's reunion set at last year's Best Friends Forever Festival. The band will be reuniting once more for a brief tour this summer, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Shmap'n Shmazz.
