Stereolab announce their first new album in 15 years

Following the recent soft launch of new song "Aerial Troubles" on a mysterious 7" vinyl mailed out to select fans and record shops, Stereolab have today confirmed that a long-hoped for new album is on the way.

Dropping on May 23 via their own label, Duophonic UHF Disks, in partnership with Warp Records, Instant Holograms On Metal Film is the first Stereolab long-player since 2010's Not Music, and has been in the works since the band reunited in 2019.

The album features 13 tracks co-written by Stereolab co-founders Tim Gane and Laetitia Sadier, with guests on the album including members of Bitchin Bajas, International Anthem, and Cavern of Anti-Matter.

Rather than attempting to describe the music, the band has provided a 'Fill in the blanks' template for others to get creative.
