Soulja Boy took to Instagram this weekend to hint at a potential presidential run in 2028, citing "A new chapter. A bigger vision. A commitment to creating opportunities for the next generation," among other priorities.

Soulja Boy, full name DeAndre Cortez Way, has not made clear the legitimacy behind this claim, nor what political party he would run for.
Soulja Boy is not the first rapper to take a stab at the presidency in recent years. Known antisemite Ye (formerly Kanye West) legitimately ran for president in the 2020 election, garnering 67,906 popular votes according to The Independent.
