Sled Island announces first wave of artists for 2026 lineup; Black Country, New Road and clipping., and more to perform

The Calgary, AB music festival Sled Island unveiled the first round of artists for their 2026 lineup. Guest-curated by clipping., the festival will feature over 150 artists from June 17 to 21, with Black Country, New Road taking one of the headliner spots.

Aside from performing at the festival, clipping. also hand-picked many of the featured artists on the lineup, highlighting the experimental talents of renowned hip-hop and noise artists like billy woods, Backxwash, Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, Granpa (Lucas Abela), and Lana Del Rabies.

Cartel Madras, the Calgary-based hip-hop group, will be specially featured as openers for clipping., who will be performing at the Palace Theatre on June 20.

Other notable acts from this lineup include the egg punk rockers Snõõper, the synth punk band Sextile, indie rockers feeble little horse, and the Canadian electro-pop musician HOMESHAKE.

The complete lineup for the Canadian summer festival will be unveiled over the next couple of months, and comedy, art, special events and conference programming will be announced as well.

A limited number of tickets for this year's Sled Island will go on sale this Friday, March 6 at 12 pm MST (1 pm ET). More information can be found on the event's official website.
