shame share "Quiet Life", the second single from upcoming album

Today, the UK band shame shared "Quiet Life", the second single from their upcoming fourth studio record, Cutthroat, out September 5 via Dead Oceans. The band followed up the news with new dates for their 2026 North American tour.

Watch/listen to "Quiet Life" below:

"Quiet Life" peels away from the bombastic, in-your-face punk sound of the leading single "Cutthroat", opting instead for a looser, Cramps-inspired rockabilly style.

Following Cutthroat's themes of confrontation and facing conflict head-on, the new track lyrically portrays a fraught relationship. "It’s about the judgment they receive and the struggle that they have to go through," says lyricist and vocalist Charlie Steen via press release, "trying to understand the conflict they face, of wanting a better life… but being stuck."

The US/Canada leg of shame's upcoming promotional tour begins January 2026. This almost immediately follows a fall tour in Europe and The UK. Tickets for the North American leg go on sale this Friday, July 11 at 10 am local time.
