Sam Fender announces North American 'People Watching' tour

Next week, British singer-songwriter Sam Fender will begin his UK and Europe tour to promote his most recent record, People Watching.

Yesterday, the artist announced he would be extending his nearly sold-out tour in September, travelling to select cities in the United States and Canada. Afterward, he will perform a brief run in Australia.

People Watching was released on February 21 via Capitol Records. Featuring co-production credits by the War on Drugs' Adam Granduciel and Arcade Fire's Markus Dravs, Fender's new album focused on the lives and thoughts of the ordinary people in his life. Since then, it's broken the record for fastest-selling vinyl by a British artist in the 21st Century, charted at no. 1 on the UK Billboard week of release, and became the third no. 1 record in Fender's discography, per Far Out Magazine. The Newcastle-born musician then received this year's BRIT Award for Best Alternative/Rock Act for People Watching.

Presale for the North American leg of the People Watching tour began today at 10 am local time. General sale will be live this Friday, May 30, at 10 am local time. All other tickets for the UK, Europe, and Australian dates are live now.
