Today, the singer-songwriter and producer Rostam announced his third solo album, American Stories, will be out in 2026. Revealing little else, the artist posted an album trailer to social media that gives a couple hints as to how his next project will sound.

The trailer features aerial footage of New York City at different points of the day. A gentle, country-tinged slide guitar wades over the passersby. If this is the sonic direction for the third LP, then it'd be a pivot from the indie rock and pop influences on his previous records towards folk and country.
American Stories will be Rostam's first new album since Changephobia, which came out in 2021.
In 2024, the artist also celebrated the birthday of his 2017 debut album Half-Light with a fully instrumental reimagining. He has also been active in the production world, recently celebrating the releases of Leith Ross's I Can See The Future in September and HAIM's I quit in June, which marked his twelfth full-length as a rock/pop producer.
More details on the record to be announced soon.
