Rap producer Tay Keith’s cause of death revealed

Tay Keith’s cause of death has been revealed by the Medical Examiner’s Office in Nashville.

TMZ reports Keith, whose real name was BryTavious Chambers, died from a toxic mix of drugs. According to the Medical Examiner, Keith had ketamine and mitragynine in his system when he died.

The Medical Examiner also stated he had nicotine and ethanol in his system. They noted he had mild coronary artery disease.

On June 18, Keith was found dead in his apartment in his home in Nashville, police said. There was no foul play suspected. He was 29 years old.

Keith has worked with hip-hop’s biggest stars, producing for Drake (“First Person Shooter”), Travis Scott (“Sicko Mode”), and Sexyy Red (“Pound Town”). 

In a statement provided by the family, they said: “BryTavious was a visionary producer, songwriter, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and cultural force whose work helped define the sound of a generation. From Memphis to the global stage, he shaped countless hit records and left a lasting mark on music and culture.”
