Protomartyr announced earlier today that the band is hitting the road for their upcoming world tour. Although the band has not released an album since 2023's Formal Growth in the Desert, it seems that they have something cooking long enough to perform around the globe starting this coming fall.
Since their 2008 formation, the Detroit four-piece has been tackling the alternative rock sphere with fire in the belly. With six studio albums to their name, Protomartyr have been bending the lines of their post-punk roots and refining their sound every passing year, with influences from indie to noise rock.
The tour kicks off in mid-October in Phoenix, AZ. with Accessory, the side project of Jason Balla of Dehd fame. They'll perform a few dates in the West Coast before traveling eastwards with openers, J.R.C.G. before ending their North America run in their hometown, Detroit, MI at the Majestic. They'll perform a number of dates in Europe in throughout February 2027. In addition, the October 31st performance Austin, TX will be the only gig on the tour accompanied by special guest opener, The Jesus and Mary Chain.
