Crossover thrash kings Power Trip are back in the studio recording their first material since the death of legendary frontman Riley Gale, who died in 2020 after an accidental drug overdose.
Recording with producer Jacob Hansen, the sessions come months after the Texas band signed with Blue Grape Music, with Fugitive and Skourge vocalist Seth Gilmore handling what was once thought of as improbable frontman duties.
Earlier this year, founding guitarist Blake Ibanez revealed the band was working on new material in an interview with Altars of Metal.
Gilmore's tenure with the band began during a surprise live return in 2023. Since then, the band has performed numerous shows and festivals worldwide, including a tour with Pantera and a recent appearance at the Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest in Philadelphia, with additional dates scheduled.
