While Kiefer Sutherland may be best known for his work on screen, from his role as President Tom Kirkman in Designated Survivor to his time as Jack Bauer on 24, and even cult classics like The Lost Boys, he's also an accomplished musician, having released his fourth studio album, Grey, earlier this year.
However, for certified Sutherland heads who want to see the songs from Grey translated onto the stage, they will have to wait until a "more suitable time," as the multi-hyphonate born Kiefer William Frederick Dempsey George Rufus Sutherland has fallen victim to "Blue Dot Fever," as he disappointedly shared on social media.
"With great disappointment I am going to have to cancel the US leg of my tour due to very low ticket sales," Sutherland wrote.
"I don't think it's fair to the people who have bought tickets, or the venues, to play to half-empty houses. I look forward to touring the United States again at a more suitable time. I hope you understand. Sincerely, Kiefer Sutherland."
After spending much of April and all of May in Europe promoting his release with support from Andrew Colin, Sutherland was booked to kick off the North American leg of his tour in Patchogue, New York, with dates running all the way through July 2 at the Durango Casino in Las Vegas. However, because his ticket sales flatlined, it looks like none of those dates are designated to survive, leaving fans awaiting Sutherland's next move in the musical realm.
