Record label Posh Isolation closes after 16 years

On February 6, Copenhagen's Posh Isolation took to Instagram to say that they have ceased operations after 16 years of highlighting Scandinavia's most promising electronic producers.

Known for its cold and futuristic aesthetic, the label touts nearly 300 releases across its lifespan. This number does not include the many showcases and exhibitions also held by the label. Notable Posh Isolation artists include label co-founder Croatian Amor, Swedish producer Varg²™, and tech-ambient wizard Oqbqbo.

The label has hovered on the fringe of contemporary electronic music, where it has seen many collaborations from some of Scandianavia's best, including Bladee, Ecco2k, and Oli XL.

Even though they are bidding farewell as a label, Posh Isolation will continue as a family. "We are still here all of us, making music together and perhaps by putting the label to sleep Posh can be what it always was most of all: a working collective," they said in a statement. Now, the label will live on through the success of its many artists and NTS mixes.

The label is also doing two farewell shows in the Copenhagen area, featuring labelmates Oqbqbo, Franarchy, Lfy, Frederik Valentin, CTM, Croatian Amor, Soli City, Vanity Productions, and Emma Acs. Check those dates below:
