Passion Pit frontman Michael Angelakos will be heading to New York City next week for an eight-day residency. Beginning on April 29, he will perform at the Deluxx Fluxx — the basement-turned-nightclub underneath a popular Manhattan concert venue, Webster Hall.
Angelakos first announced the residency on April 19 via a post on his private Substack, where he regularly posts new music, old demo tapes, and short essays. He explained that he'll be at Deluxx Fluxx every Tuesday and Wednesday at 8pm for a set, and subscribers to his Substack had first access to tickets. He then posted a video of a live recording of "All Matters Here On In", a track featured on Nine Times Your Torch Song, a "demo album" which can only be heard on Substack.
The last official Passion Pit album was 2017's Tremendous Sea of Love.
The Passion Pit sets will feature songs from their discography, as well as some of Angelakos' newest ones, according to Pitchfork. Tickets are available for purchase now. Check out the dates below:
